I know there is a lot going on in the gun debate and was reminded of one of my favorite fairy tales, Sleeping Beauty. In the story, there is an evil witch that curses Aurora, the princess, to prick her finger on a spinning wheel by her 16th birthday. The result was that her parents outlawed all spinning wheels and she ended up pricking her finger on that dang spindle on the spinning wheel anyways when an old woman, in the castle, shows her how to use it. With proper education and protective gear, the whole curse would have been thwarted and the kingdom triumphant over Malificent. Just like guns. If we were to educate ourselves on the workings of guns and what can happen if we aren't prepared to use it, then we would be triumphant over evil. What do you think?
